
About Us : Bill F. JacksonBill F. Jackson received a BBA Degree with a major in Home Building and Light Construction from the University of Houston. After graduation, he was employed as a staff appraiser and loan officer for two local savings and loan associations, where he gained experience in loan underwriting and appraising of a variety of real estate properties. In January, 1972, he established his own real estate appraisal firm of Bill Jackson and Associates. Since the establishment of his firm, he has had opportunities to value properties in Harris, Montgomery, Galveston, Brazoria, Waller and Fort Bend counties of a nature raging from single family residential to multi-family residential, commercial, industrial, and unimproved land, for a variety of clients. He has completed Courses I, II and VI presented by the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers (now called the Appraisal Institute), which were educational courses required to fulfill the requirements for the MAl designation. He regularly attends various seminar and appraisal courses throughout the year to keep abreast of current real estate theory and trends of the economy. He regularly attends the annual Employee Relocation Council (ERC) Conference held each year in May. He served as a guest lecturer on real estate appraising for the Gulf Coast School of Real Estate and Champions School of Real Estate. In addition, he has served as course instructor for appraisal courses for the University of Houston, North Harris County Junior College, Houston Community College, The Institute of Financial Education, and the George Leonard's School of Real Estate. He holds the MAl and SRA designations awarded by the Appraisal Institute (formerly The American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers) and is currently certified -under the Continuing Education Program and is certified under the Texas Real Estate Appraiser Certification Committee number "TX"-1320715-G. He is a Realtor member of the Houston Association of Realtors and, consequently, the Texas Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. He formerly was a subcommittee chairman of the Experience Review committee of the Houston Chapter of the Appraisal Institute and has served as a committee member since 1985. From 1991 to 1996 he served as a Regional Member of Region VIII of the Appraisal Institute. He served as President of the Houston Chapter of the Society of Real Estate Appraisers in 1975-1976 and served as Secretary of the SREA Market Data Center, Inc., during 1976-1977. He served as President and member of the Executive Committee of the SREA Market Data Center during 1980 and has previously served as Vice President and Director of that organization. During the period of 1969 to 1973, he was instrumental in establishing a Houston Regional Chapter of the SREA Market Data Center and served as Houston Regional Chairman. The character of his work includes the appraisal of commercial, industrial special purpose, vacant land and residential properties. This work is performed for various types of clients which include lending institutions, governmental agencies, including loan guaranty administrations, condemning and tax authorities, and various corporations, attorneys and individuals. Some of the more important appraisal assignments include a major art museum in Houston, Texas; multi-story office buildings in Houston, Texas; medical clinic in Pasadena, Texas; various commercial structures in Con roe, Texas; and various subdivision sites in Harris and Montgomery counties. He has testified as an expert witness in the valuation of real estate, for courts of Domestic Relations, Federal Bankruptcy Court and District Courts. Bill F.
